MMXII premiered in Norðurljós, Harpa concert...
The piece MMXII (for 2 db. and perc.) will be premiered at the Tectonics music festival - curated by Ilan Volkov, proudly presented by the Iceland Symphony Orchestra. Concert will take place in Norðurljós, concert hall in Harpa. Saturday 3rd of March at 21. Tickets should be available online through midi.is

Radio Theater: Svipleiftur
A radio show made by Jón Hallur Stefánsson on the life of the writer Steinar Sigurjónsson, since 2008 or so, re-played on Rás 1 on the National radio broadcast (RÚV). Thursday 12th of January 2012 at 22:20. The show is in Icelandic.

Exhibition in Gallerý Suðsuðvestur, 2.-4....
The exhibition of S.L.Á.T.U.R in Gallerý Suðsuðvestur in Reykjanesbær, Iceland, opens Friday, 2nd of September and is open until 4th of September.

SKARK performing Sculpture #2, 3rd of August 2011
SKARK, string ensemble, will be performing Sculpture #2 at the opening concert of the music festival Tónlistarhátíð Unga fólksins in Salurinn, Kópavogur on 3rd of August 2011 at 20:00.
Other pieces on the program are Serenada for string orchestra in E-major, op. 22 by Antonin Dvorak and Aurora by Iannis Xenakis.

Thranophone in a piece by the Norwegian composer... →
The Norwegian composer Erik Stifjell will be using Thranophone #2 in a new piece that will be performed in October in Norway. His piece, an octet for electric guitars and trombones will be featured at Arctic Trombone Festival.

Notation as an active part of composition
Monday 9th of May 2011 I will lecture on “Notation as an active part of a composition” with some questions of Angus Barnacle. The lecture will take place at Studio III at Koninklijk Conservatorium, Den Haag at 16:00.
The lecture is a part of my M.A. studies at the Koncon.

This monday, 2nd of May 2011, the Icelandic radio show on the Icelandic national broadcasting service, Ópus, plays recordings from a concert held at the exhibition Sound Field at the National Gallery in Iceland, last 2nd of April, 2011.

At a seminar in July 2010, I presented new ways to think in terms of music temperaments, mentioning how phase/pitch cancellation may have had some part in the development of harmony and as well the idea of looking at pitches as a spatial distances.
For that occasion I sonified “POEM” by the visual artist Sigurður Guðmundsson as an example of pitches as spatial distances.
